Steve Nash was interviewed postgame after the Nets 104-93 win vs the Boston Celtics. Nash commented on the team’s poor first half, Celtics center Robert Williams, and the Nets’ physical defense.
Brooklyn got off to a rough start in the first half on the offensive end. Nash had this to say about their poor performance: “The first half was just so uncharacteristic… still plenty of things to clean up… not a great performance at all at that end of the floor… plenty to build on down there.”
Celtics center Robert Williams set a franchise record in blocks, recording nine on the game. Nash had this to say about the young big man: “Too many times we kind of lined him up… he was outstanding… he was just great, he made plays whether it was off the ball or on the ball.”
Lastly, Nash praised Brooklyn’s solid defensive play. He said this: “The guys were great… our defense was great, they were locked in… our defense was better than our offense tonight.”
