Much like just about everything else on their calendar, the NFL also milks out “Schedule Release Day” every year.
Well, today is that day! The league officially unveils their 272-game, 18-week regular season schedule on Thursday evening, and our exclusive wagering partners at FanDuel Sportsbook already have odds up for the Patriots’ week one game.
Here are the lines for the Patriots vs. Eagles matchup from Gillette Stadium:
Week 1 Odds – Patriots vs. Eagles
Spread: Eagles -3.5
Total: 46.5
Moneyline: Eagles -166/Patriots +140
After opening up with the Miami Dolphins for the last three seasons, New England will have a different opponent in week one for the first time since 2019.
The Philadelphia Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, are coming off of a 14-3 regular season record in 2022 that they followed up with an appearance in Super Bowl LVII (which they lost to the Chiefs).
As such, they lost both of their coordinators to head coaching jobs and will look to find success once again in 2023 (with a shrunken salary cap) after signing Hurts to a five-year, $255-million contract extension last month.
The Patriots announced on Thursday morning that they will honor long-time quarterback and 7x Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady at halftime of their game versus the Eagles.
