The Celtics travel to New Orleans, looking to bounce back as they take on the Pelicans. With another strong showing from Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams, Boston took a 107-97 win over New Orleans on Saturday night. Brown and Tatum combined for 69 of Boston’s 107 points.
New Orleans was led by rookie Jose Alvarado, who had 19 PTS on 8-11 FG and 3-4 3P. Boston outshot New Orleans from the field 53.1% to 43.9%.
On the Celtics ball movement, Smart said “Guys don’t worry about giving the ball up to me, because they know I’ll get it back to them. If they keep cutting, we’ll keep getting quality shots.”
On Robert Williams’ performance tonight and the improvements he’s been making this season, Tatum said “He’s been great. He’s a key to where we want to go this season. And that three he took (big smile). We’ve been on him, because he practices them. If he had made that, we would have gone crazy.”
