The Celtics are back in Boston as they take on the undermanned Miami Heat. Boston got into a rhythm and survived a 16-1 2nd quarter run by Miami on the way to a 122-92 blowout win.
Udoka told the team to “Pay attention to details. Follow the game plan. Tighten up our switches. Be more physical. We closed the quarter well and it carried into the second half.”
Marcus Smart’s message to his teammates was simple: “Just calm down.” On what was said by Ime Udoka during their timeout, Smart said “Basically, in not so many words, stop d***ing around.”
Horford commended Jaylen Brown for his leadership and helping the team get focused. “Jaylen’s the one really setting the tone,” said Horford, “He’s really keeping everybody focused. … I believe there’s a real sense of urgency from our group.”
