Kevin Durant was interviewed postage after the Nets 104-93 win vs the Boston Celtics. He talked about the team’s shaky start, having a crowd back at Barclays Center, and how the team guarded Jayson Tatum in the second half.
Durant spoke about the team’s slow offensive start to the game. He had this to say: “I think we stayed with our defense… we couldn’t make shots… we got open threes we didn’t make… I know I missed a lot of bunnies that felt good leaving my hand.”
He also talked about what the atmosphere was like having fans back in the building. He said this: “It was incredible… our fans were loud, they were there early… it was weird because we haven’t seen them all season… it was pretty cool… I’m sure our fans enjoyed the win, but we want to play better for them as well.”
Lastly, Durant commented on the team’s ability to defend Tatum and the rest of the Celtics. Tatum did not score a field goal in the second half of the game. Durant had this to say: “He missed a couple that he can make for sure but I think we did a good job of making him shoot tough ones… he made a couple to start the game and we were able to take that storm and keep pushing through… Robert Williams impacted the game, Nesmith hit a three, Fournier hit a couple… we gotta be ready and on point from the first possession.”
