Joe Harris was interviewed postgame after the Nets’ dominant Game 2 win vs the Boston Celtics, 130-108. Harris talked about what it’s like to have his teammates find him so much on the three-point line, what his mindset is during the game when he gets hot, and why he thinks defenses leave him so open.
Harris got hot and scored 16 points in the first quarter. He talked about what it’s like to have his teammates find him so many open looks: “That’s a shooter’s dream right there… those guys were looking for me early on after I got the first couple to go.”
He also spoke about how what his mindset is like when he gets so hot during the flow of the game: “To be honest I wasn’t really thinking about it a ton… you’re so just sort of caught up in the game… if I have space I’m going to shoot it… I was able to get 10 shots up… I’m looking to try and be aggressive… just take and give whatever the game gives you… you get the confidence going, start hunting a little more.”
Lastly, Harris was asked whether or not he feels disrespected when defenses leave him open on the three-point line. He said that he doesn’t feel that way and gave this statement: “It’s just like, teams got to take away something… it’s sort of a pick your poison situation with us… tonight the ball was just being sprayed around and was really finding me early on… we have three of the best offensive players that really have ever played.”
