Evan Fournier Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Magic

Evan Fournier was interviewed after the Celtics dismantled the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

On having another solid performance since his return and his chemistry with Kemba Walker, Fournier said “I’m trying to find ways to get some shots for my teammates… I feel like Kemba and I play well together, I don’t know maybe because we’ve had the same coach in previous years… sometimes he’s open so I just try to hit him… as far as myself, nothing new since the game against Portland.”

Fournier also mentioned he recently got his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, and he’s hoping that will help with the after-effects of COVID. On the video montage put together from his days with the Magic, Fournier said “It was fun, man, it was fun… it touched my heart and I was happy to see all the memories on the screen.”

The veteran greeted many familiar faces from Magic media, saying to be in Orlando as a Celtic “It’s great, I really love the people here, that’s really what I’m going to miss the most… I’ll always have a good time playing against Cliff and those guys.”

With his bout of COVID behind him, Fournier said “My main focus is to get better… just being myself, that’s really what I base my days on… my number one priority in life right now is getting better… I don’t need extra motivation, I’m a very dedicated guy… I’ll show you guys how hungry I am to play well for the team.”

On the goals of the team moving forward, Fournier said “We obviously want to win as many games as possible… we want to be the highest seed possible, and we want to go as far as possible… I think I can play a huge part in that.”
