New Balance signs 14th overall Celtics 2020 draft pick, Aaron Nesmith to a multi-year deal to join its’ basketball roster of athletes. Nesmith is the latest addition to a New Balance Basketball family that includes Kawhi Leonard, Darius Bazley, Dejounte Murray and Jamal Murray. Nesmith is not only doing business with the brand, but he is also a fan as he has been wearing New Balance shoes on the court for some time now. He’s laces up the New Balance OMN1S, while also making frequent use of newer models like the KAWHI and the Two WXY.
With New Balance being official partners with the Celtics, Nesmith is also apart of the Shamrock Foundation’s The Playbook Initiative, a program started by the Celtics during the 2016-17 season. The Playbook Initiative’s focus is on inspiring dialogue on race, religion, gender, disability and sexual orientation, and to ultimately equip children with tools to intervene in challenging social situations. Nesmith will serve as a mentor for The Celtics Foundation Playbook Initiative.
Recently, Nesmith has been a big contributor to the Celtics, who are trying to make a push for NBA playoff spot. Over the last three games, Nesmith is averaging over 15 PTS on 70 FG%, 68 3GF%, plus 6 REBS in 23 MIN.
