After a thrilling finish in Game 1, the Boston Celtics welcome the Brooklyn Nets back for Game 2 of the NBA playoffs. Despite their performance in Game 1, Boston came out looking a little flat against Brooklyn in Game 2. The Celtics were failing to execute and slipped into bad old habits on offense, and soon enough they found themselves in a 17 PT hole. Full of grit and tenacity, the Celtics came back from the deficit to seal a 114-107 victory on Wednesday night.
“In the first half, we were playing in a crowd too much,” said Head Coach Ime Udoka. “In the second half, we got into some sets we like. We had a lot more pace and ball movement.”
On the importance of guys like Grant Williams and Payton Pritchard in the rotation and stepping up, Jaylen Brown said “We gotta keep winning as a team. It’s not me and Jayson. It’s not me, Jayson and Smart, it’s the Celtics.”
“We all trust each other,” said Jayson Tatum. “We trust the coaching staff. They trust us. … I know when I look to my left and to my right, the guys in that locker room, we’re going to fight to the end.”
