The Celtics return home to TD Garden to host the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. In their first matchup a few games back, Boston had an epic collapse in Chicago, and the Bulls played them off the court. However, in the second matchup between the two teams, the Celtics were noticeably different, looking far more locked in and in control.
Boston’s second unit erupted for 41 pts, and was led by Malcolm Brogdon, who dropped 25 pts and shot a sizzling 9-of-10 from the field, including 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. Brogdon’s leadership, playmaking abilities, and pace got the Celtics bench humming, and with Jayson Tatum’s 36 PTS, 12 REB, and 6 AST, Boston pulled off a strong 123-119 win over Chicago. The Celtics will now get on the road to play the New York Knicks on Saturday night.
