Bradley Beal was interviewed after the Wizards’ 118-100 loss vs the Celtics in the NBA play-in last night. He spoke about longtime friend Jayson Tatum and his 50-point performance.
The media asked Beal about Tatum’s performance and this is what he had to say: “He’s a special talent. I’ve been saying it since he was in diapers.” He said that he believes this was Tatum’s next game of his career.
The All-Star guard also talked about his hamstring injury, giving an injury update as to how he’s feeling. “As good as it’s gonna get,” he said. “Call me one-leg bandit, if you want.”
Beal also spoke about the team’s mentality and how they have to start acting like they are playing in the playoffs. He had this to say: “We gotta realize that this is the playoffs. Everybody has to up their level of play…Every play is important. Every play, gotta up the sense of urgency…We just couldn’t guard. We just gotta be better. My head isn’t down. I told the guys the same thing.”
