The Boston Celtics have waived forward Jabari Parker. This leaves the Celtics with an open roster spot. Parker’s $2.3 million salary was set to be guaranteed at the start of the regular season.
Boston is now about $4.6 million over the luxury tax line after waiving Parker.
The Celtics also waived guards Theo Pinson, Garrison Matthews and Chris Clemons. Sources say Pinson, Clemons, center Luke Kornet, guard Ryan Arcidiacono and forward Juwan Morgan will report to the Maine Red Claws.
The Garden Report‘s Bobby Manning breaks down the news and discusses the Celtics’ best options to occupy the 15th and final spot on the roster.
