Drew Butler, Nick Bahe, and Keith Stewart of Betonline.ag take a look at a couple of big events this weekend – the first round of the NBA playoffs and the PGA Championship. The pair also preview NBA Championship Future odds.
The Knicks and Hawks begin their seven-game series this Sunday, May 23. According to Betonline.ag, this one is almost as even as it gets. New York’s odds are set at -107, while Atlanta sits at -113. Nick decides to make his pick for this closely contested series.
“I like the Knicks right now,” he says. “They got a junkyard dog mentality” and “Julius Randle handles Atlanta extremely well.” Nick likes the (very slight) underdogs in this four-five matchup.
The pair moves on to look at NBA Championship odds for this season. When taking a look at the board, Drew decides to double down on a pick he made earlier this season.
“I’m going back to the well,” says Drew as he chooses the Utah Jazz (+700) to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy this year. “They’ve been so consistent all season long.”
Finally, Drew is joined by Keith Stewart to talk about the PGA Championship to wrap up the show. The duo takes a look at some favorites, but one long shot catches Drew’s eye.
Matt Wallace’s odds sit at +10000 for the event. “He is trending, he has been playing some phenomenal golf,” says Drew. “I think this could be his weekend to really push towards a major championship.”
